I used to only use distilled water in my ge ice maker but with this I can now use tap water and do not notice a difference in taste or build up in the machine. I think this is a great product although I was a bit confused at first if I installed it correctly but it seems to be working!

The GE profile filter is bulky and a little hard to install, but does a decent job of reducing buildup in the machine. I don™™t notice a taste difference but the water in that cycles in the area to be made into ice has a lot less debris floating around in it. All around a decent purchase for cleaner ice.

I love my GE nugget ice maker and I feel great knowing that I™™m using high quality, filtered ice. I definitely start to notice the scent of the ice when it™™s about time to change the filter and using the GE filter helps me have the highest quality ice. I would definitely recommend using the brand filter when replacing - I™™ve used a few knock off brands and they don™™t last as long or work as well.

The product fit perfectly, and it™™s a nice touch that it comes in a different color than the standard filter included with the machine. Overall, it didn™™t noticeably affect the taste, scent, or clarity of the ice but it didn™™t worsen them either. It™™s hard to determine whether this filter is more effective than the regular ones, so if there™™s a price difference, I™™d recommend opting for the the cheepesf option. All in all, it™™s a solid, reliable filter that™™s comparable to the standard one.

This was incredibly easy! Far easier than any other aspect of this machine. All you have to do is remove the existing filter and snap this guy into place. It took literally two seconds to install and the ice is already prettier and more clear.
We do have a side reservoir, so I™™m not sure if the size of the filter would effect the amount of ice produced without the reservoir.

I had no idea there was a filter inside the Opal ice machine until recently, and once I replaced it, I noticed a night and day difference in the taste of the ice. It™™s so much cleaner and fresher! I received the GE Profile Scale Inhibiting Filter for my GE ice maker, it was very well packed. It™™s made a noticeable difference. Before installing the filter, I was constantly dealing with scale buildup, and it felt like I was cleaning the machine every few weeks. Since adding this filter, the ice maker has been running much more smoothly, and the ice looks cleaner and tastes better too.

This GE profile filter is durable and effective. I will never again purchase and off brand filter. I did this previously and I ran into issues with the machine. It would tell me to add more water when in the cleaning cycle, although the unit was filled with water. You can get cheaper replacement filters, but to protect yourself from issues, I recommend purchasing a genuine filter, like this one.

I thought the ice maker wouldn't need to filter this water, but no, there are impurities in the water that pass through this part, making the water cleaner and safer. This filler should be replaced regularly every 3-6 months. Thank you for letting me experience it

No problems with these water filters for my ice machine. They work just fine. I don™™t have any problem receiving them. This filter seems to work really well. My ice doesn™™t have a smell or taste to it, and the machine itself doesn™™t have excess scaling going on inside, so I™™d say the filter is doing its job well.

I highly recommend this water filter. I have a little daughter and a infant at home and therefore I really needed this water filter in order to provide my children with clean water. Wow, I™™ve been using the GE scale inhibiting filter it is AMAZING and the difference is spot on! ™£ï¸ð¥° We live in an area with really hard water sometimes and I was constantly dealing with limescale on our faucets, shower heads, and especially in the dishwasher and washing machine. Since installing this filter in my 2.0 Ice Cube Maker- the white buildup has almost completely stopped. ð
