Not bad for the money

The shelves that do not adjust is a minor thing after you get used to it. The problem that i see, or hear in this case, lot of people said was annoying. Its the noise when it is making ice. It is a little on the annoying side. If i was in a one room apartment with it, i would go nuts. And, if it was a constant noise, you could get used to it and ignore it. But, it stops and start the noise abruptly, so that cant happen. The one pet peeve that i had was how to get the water dispenser to work. The directions didnt say how to get it to work. The wording above it is so small, its hard to see. And its pushed back a little. So it doesn't stand out. Once its figured out its fine.

Mild Buyer's Regret

Mildly disappointed with this refrigerator, although I admit that certain details are things I could have, should have checked before buying. First, why would any manufacturer build a refrigerator for USA customers in which NONE of the shelved areas are tall enough for a 2-liter bottle to fit standing up? I have two juice jugs that are about 1/4" too tall to fit on any shelf. If I use one adjustable door shelf for tall items, I would have to cram the other door shelves too close together or leave one out completely. Second, we keep having an issue with the ice dispenser. Ice maker works fine. This has something to do with the auger not connecting very well to whatever mechanism makes it turn. It works if I place one hand on the freezer door and lean into it, but then it does not work all the time if someone just opened the door and closed it without pressing firmly against it to close it. Third, when I attempted to discuss the second item, above, with customer service, I was on hold on the telephone for more than 30 minutes before I finally hung. I tried to use the online chat feature, and I was again put on hold for over an hour. The chat conversation began, and after a couple of minutes, the chat associate said she needed to talk to someone else to get information for me, asked me to hold. I started tracking the time about 10 minutes later. Then, 59 minutes later, I decided to start typing questions and comments again to let the chat system know that I was still there. Another 20 minutes later with no response of any kind, I closed the chat and logged off. I'm quite a patient person. I got an hour of yoga practice in while on hold, so it wasn't entirely wasted time, but my mind was focused on paying attention to when the chat associate would reply - only to never get additional responses in the chat. I cannot imagine that Home Depot (which is where I ordered the refrigerator) can do better at troubleshooting the ice dispenser auger engagement issue than what Whirlpool ought to be able to do as the manufacturer.

I bought this refrigerator at the beginning of march from a big box store. i had to wait a month for delivery and it was delivered and all was well for 10 days when food and drink in refrigerator got warm. Ice in dispenser was wet ice. noticed refrigerator was running and build up of heavy frost and ice at evaporator. My guess is that the defrost is not working. got a call in now to fix it. Hopefully it can be fixed and resolved and then i could offer a better review.

Have had several times over the two years with having the ice maker stop producing ice. Problem is when the ice bin gets full, the ice cubes flip the ice maker off. I have flip ithe switch back on. Other than that it is good refrigerator.

Avoid. Delivered defective refrigerator. It worked for less than a day. Service will put you on hold for hours and hours, shuffling you between departments endlessly, just trying to buy time until warranty expires. Repair tech identified faulty sealed system from factory, but have to attempt to "fix" repeatedly until warranty expires.

I bought this item a month a ago and so far so good. The only things that I feel are not right are: that the wheels don't lock. Every time we open the fridge doors the whole fridge rolls forward because they do not lock. I had to put rubber stops on the wheels to stop that. Also the fridge is all black but the hinges are silver and stick out like sore thumb from the side view.. See picture. Also it seems like the fridge always is running. I hope that is ok. We had to get this fridge because we had limited space due to that it had to fit into the cabinet and this one fit.

The fridge / freezer works great. This appliance runs loud and even louder when it™€™s making ice. Design flaw - exterior tray to catch ice or water drips has no drain or the ability to capture any liquid. It runs down the fridge and onto floor. One must check that ice is not caught in shute that brings it to the outside of the door. Ice sitting in shute will dispense randomly and fall to the floor and melt.

We waited 4 months to receive our fridge with weekly calls 2 months past due date. ice dispencer sometimes continues to drop ice minutes after use. water not staying cold. inside of fridge extreamely cold on 3 setting, freezes contents on 4 (for water temp) and so warm on 2 fridge contents will spoil.

Some issues.

Bought unit Sept. 16, 2020. Received unit on April 8, 2021. Unit fit nicely into my space. Outside of unit was attractive. Shelving on door had several places to adjust the door shelves. The inside of the unit DID NOT have places to adjust the shelves which limited what items could be placed on the shelves. Main issue was the loud intermittent noise the unit would make. It would even wake us up at night. Service came out on April 26, 2021 and thought they fixed the loud vibration problem. Problem was not fixed and service came out again on May 3, 2021. There is a cardboard at the bottom of the unit that was touching the compressor. Service put some type of plugs in place that separated the cardboard from the compressor. As of now, the problem seems to have been fixed. I hope this is of value

We ordered this item 2/21/2021 and finally received it 3/25/2021. It seems Whirlpool appliances are currently in high demand. We purchased this refrigerator as an upgrade to what came with our home 2-1/2 years ago. We™€™ve missed having ice and water readily available through the door. We are huge ice users and water drinkers. Having to fill a self filtering water pitcher multiple times a day got real old real fast and having to open the freezer to get ice was very inconvenient. However, the water and ice in the door feature has been a bit of a challenge for my husband. We aren™€™t fond of the ice dispenser being behind the water dispenser. When attempting to get ice, sometimes the water dispenser button accidentally gets pressed and we end up with water and ice when only ice is wanted. Perhaps, a side-by-side design for the water and ice features would have been a better choice. We™€™ve never had a side-by-side refrigerator before, so I was skeptical at first, but since it™€™s just me and my husband now, we figured it was a good choice for us and the space we had to work with. In preparation for the arrival of the refrigerator, I purchased clear food storage containers to help easily identify food items in the refrigerator as well as being able to utilize the refrigerator™€™s and freezer™€™s space efficiently. I love that this refrigerator has 3 storage drawers. We use one to store snacks such as yogurt and pudding and jello cups. I especially like the LED lighting. It gives off the right amount of light and makes the food look great. The freezer is working out well for us. There™€™s a good amount of room to store frozen dinners, veggies, snacks, etc. All in all, this refrigerator was a good purchase.

Gave 2 stars because refrigerator is cold and freezer freezes. Problems: noisy - makes annoying sounds throughout day and night; keep a dish towel folded on the drip tray on the ice and water dispenser well to prevent water spots. Often drips water after dispensing ice and water. Stationary shelves in main refrigerator limit what fits on shelf - milk carton, tea pitcher and some covered dishes don™€™t fit on shelves. Have to keep milk on door shelf which I don™€™t like to do. Shelves on door are not stationary.

I purchased this "size" to fit into my kitchen "space", when they built my home the space(s) for appliances where much smaller than they are today. I love having the Ice/water on the "outside" of the fridge, but wish "they" would not "throw" all the ice out onto my floor. Like the Fridge - Missing Parts

I bought the refrigerator back on March 14 and had it delivered and installed yesterday. After reading the comments of other purchasers I noticed one about missing caps at the bottom hinges. I looked at mine and I have the same issue (see attached pics). Please confirm how this is to be resolved.
